Hispack 2027: how to get the most out of exhibiting
A guide for Hispack 2027 exhibitors (Barcelona, May): what the catalogue shows, who visits the stand and how to organise lead capture and follow-up.
Hispack is the packaging, process and logistics trade fair organised by Fira de Barcelona. The 2027 edition, its 20th, is announced for 4 to 7 May 2027 at the Gran Via venue in Barcelona and runs alongside Graphispag, the graphic arts trade fair (always check dates and rules on the official website). This guide focuses on what comes before and after the fair: how to make sure every visit leaves a contact and a follow-up.
What you can see in the exhibitor catalogue
The Hispack 2027 exhibitor catalogue is already published on the Fira de Barcelona website. When consulted on 1 November 2026 it showed 473 exhibitors, with filters by category and by country, and many entries already listed hall, aisle and stand number. The organiser expects around 900 exhibitors and 1,250 brands, so the list will keep growing until May.
The fair is organised into five sectors: packaging machinery and process, brand packaging, industrial packaging, labelling and bottling, and logistics, automation and robotics. Knowing which one you are in, and who is next to you, helps you prepare your message.
Who usually walks by the stand
- End-product manufacturers, in food and beverages and in other sectors: they are looking for packaging, a machine or a complete line.
- Technical and production departments, comparing formats, speeds and lead times.
- Purchasing and marketing, when it comes to brand packaging.
- Logistics and warehouse managers, interested in end-of-line, palletising and automation.
- Distributors and agents, including from other countries.
If you are one of the machinery manufacturers in packaging, labelling or end-of-line, your ideal visitor is often the technician who already has a project under way. Each profile wants something different, and one message for all usually serves few.
A timeline for Hispack 2027
- November to January: decide your goal, go through the catalogue and choose the accounts you want to see at your stand.
- Late February to early April: a window to build the page, stand kit and messages with margin for printing (about 10 to 4 weeks before 4 May). Bear in mind that Easter falls at the end of March (how far ahead to prepare).
- April: tests, team briefing and invitations to your target accounts.
- 4 to 7 May: capture with permission and daily alerts. With four days of fair, organise shifts and make clear who checks the alerts each day.
- May and June: 30-day follow-up and report.
Capturing contacts with permission
At the stand, a QR code next to a useful offer and a short form (name, company, work email, what they are interested in and a consent box) give you an orderly contact and the basis to write afterwards. Ask for permission on the spot, with clear wording, and offer an unsubscribe option in every later message. This is not legal advice: check with your adviser how to word it in your case.
Offer ideas for the sector
- Technical sheets for your machines or packaging, with formats, speeds and materials.
- Samples or a digital sample book to browse calmly on mobile.
- An installed-line case (with the customer's permission) and its performance data.
- A short guide to choosing format or equipment by product and volume.
Segment the follow-up
Writing to a plant technician, a buyer or a distributor does not work the same way. Prepare three short versions of your first message and apply the 30-day sequence to each. If someone replies, the sequence stops and a person on your team takes over.
What you can do and what we can do
If you exhibit at Hispack 2027 and want lead capture and follow-up sorted, our trade fair lead follow-up service sets it up with your brand and your catalogue, from the stand page to the 30 days after. And if you are running late, there is a follow-up-only version. If you manufacture, this is how we approach customer acquisition for manufacturers.
